Good Day,
It’s a good thing December was not an average flying month. If it had been, we could sell at least one aircraft. For the first time in years HEV didn’t have any hours on her.
We experienced a couple of Transponder problems where there was a difference between the alternator and the transponder report back to ATC. On subsequent flights it was not evident so I write it off to the cold for now. Please monitor it as you fly by asking ATC what reading they are getting. If there is a significant difference, please let me know ASAP. We also experienced a problem with the carb heat cable. Doug pulled it out and determined the lubricant stiffened in the cold and made it hard to pull on. He cleaned it from both ends and applied new lubricant. It is still a little stiff but manageable. Should clear up as the weather warms up. (If the weather warms up)
The phones are still relatively quiet. Penny and I will fly over to Victoria Thursday. Not for WonTon, rather a nice lunch in downtown Sydney. The Dakota menu is a real stretch on any non WonTon day.
A couple of shareholders are getting behind in payments again. A gentle reminder here that bills are payable by the 20th of the month following. If you are three months or more behind your share may be sold for whatever management is offered to clear the debt. Please take this warning seriously.
Penny is working on the year end package to give to the accountants. Once we get this done we can schedule our AGM.
If you recall, we still have the final hangar payment to make to Paul on April 1st. It is $10,000. Although we did approve a motion to borrow the funds if needed, it appears that we may not need to do so. It will be close but bar any serious maintenance problems between now and April we will get through without the need to borrow. I look forward to getting this last payment made and owning the hangar outright. Perhaps we can take a look at rates, or save up for a newer aircraft.
Other than a colder than usual winter, the aircraft are in good shape and ready for some serious spring flying.
Best regards,
Penny and Lowell
